Rick has over 25 years’ experience creating, building, and managing complex information technology systems for both private industry and the United States Air Force. He founded Agentis Technology in 2000 and serves as a principle consultant and project manager.
During the internet revolution in the late 1990’s Rick served as Vice President for Information Technology at Fiserv Securities, Inc. FSI offered outsourced clearing and execution services to broker/dealers. As a senior IT executive leading a large staff of project managers, analysts, and programmers, Rick spearheaded software development spanning both client/server and internet-based architectures.
Rick started his IT career as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. During his eight years on active duty, he held a variety of assignments related to a broad range of information technology. He held a Department of Defense Top Secret (TS-SCI) security clearance while on active duty and retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves in 2011 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. As a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and deployment to various combat zones around the globe, he received four United States Air Force Meritorious Service Medals.
Rick received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Lehigh University in 1987. He currently resides with his wife Cheryl in Sandy, Utah where they enjoy the life of empty nesters (two kids flew the coup). With the beautiful Wasatch mountain range at their doorstep, life outside of work consists of skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and hiking and biking the rest of the year.
